Better Business Habits Weekly Breakfast - Week 17

Topic:  What is your greatest concern with the current national economic situation?

Speaker:  Steven Hamilton

Steven Hamilton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Steven will be discussing the big ticket election policy items such as negative gearing and the Low and Middle Income Tax Offsett (LMITO) that will affect Australians.

Steven's research is in public finance with a specific focus on the behavioral responses of taxpayers to tax policy. In recent research he investigates the degree to which taxpayers should be allowed to claim tax deductions by measuring the extent to which taxpayers use deductions to avoid paying taxes.

This is a rare opportunity for small business to hear directly this global economist and discuss their views on how these national issues will impact on business confidence locally.
